Multi-Stone Flowing Silver Pendant
Since I started making this type of pendant they have been a popular seller. This one has five different semi-precious stones in it. From the top, Haematite, Adveturine, Amethyst, Carnelian and Goldstone (Goldstone is a man made glass stone that sparkles with tiny copper fragments) make a lovely vibrant mixture of colour. When you fuse silver (heat it to high temperatures so it begins to melt) you are never quite sure what sort of surface you will be left with. In this case, when I decided to stop heating the silver looked amazingly like a smooth lava flow. Hence the name!! This pendant weighs 23.5g and is hallmarked with my mark. 24 inch Handmade Silver Chain
I think there is something really special about handmade chain, it's not perfect and mechanically produced like most chain and because of that it has character. This chain is both heavy (55g) and long at 24 inches. It has my own hallmark on it and fastens with a swan neck hook. The bigger links are approximately 1cm across and the smaller ones they alternate with 7mm in diameter. Looks great against plain colours like red, navy and black. Not cheap but it feels lovely to hold!
